I want to apologize to all our listeners for our show taking a two month break. It wasn’t planned and unfortunately, couldn’t be helped. As always, thank you so much for continuing to listen. There were many games to discuss in this episode and felt good after a slow year. One of the games we discussed was Mario Kart 7 and the creation of the Wii Are Fanboys community. Above is the search code for our community. If you would like to download the show click HERE and I hope to race all of you soon.
Recently, there have been alot of rumors spreading on the internet about a 3DS analog stick add-on, and 3DS redesign rumors. With Nintendo scheduling a conference on September 13 in Tokyo, it seemed to add fuel to the fire that something big was going down. Well, a couple days ago, a leak from Famitsu magazine has appeared online, and confirms there is indeed a new 3DS add-on coming, as shown in the above picture. It appears to be designed for a new Monster Hunter game for the 3DS, called Monster Hunter 3G, which is supposedly an expansion version of MHTri for Wii. It is still unknown at this time if MH3G is coming to the States, and whether this add-on is made by Nintendo or Capcom, or both. There’s also speculation about whether this add-on will be used for other games besides MH3G.
Recent events involving Capcom have hinted strongly to gamers that the Mega Man era in video games may indeed be over; and none bigger than the cancellation of MegaMan Legends 3 for the 3DS. It also didn’t help matters that Mega Man creator, Keiji Inafune, is no longer with Capcom. There has been considerable outrage from fans, and just like ‘Project Rainfall,’ fans went straight to the internet to voice their support of the canceled game. The Facebook campaign is called ‘100,000 Strong for Bringing Back Mega Man Legends 3.’ However, apparently, there is another petition over at the Capcom site that is the official one which Capcom is keeping close tabs on. If it is to be believed, the key number is 25,000+ signings that will convince them to restart development on MML3. Well, count me as one of the ones that thinks this may just work. Come on Capcom. Bring back the blue bomber. If Mega Man can find success in this modern age of video games, launching it on a Nintendo console or handheld gives them their best shot. We Nintendo Fanboys love our Mega Man. So please show your support fanboys! See the website below for details on how to do your part:
